Pelleve treatments can be used to tighten the skin around the lips for a reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. In addition, the contraction of the skin can also help reveal more of the red part of the lips. Our patients often love to get the treatment before a big event because the plumping can cause a temporary smoothness of the skin.
Don’t expect Radiofrequency treatments to give you the same plump lips that you get after filler injections. The results are much more subtle and don’t have the immediate wow factor that injectables have. Often times people shy away from filler in the lips due to fear of unnatural results. Although there are cases where lips have been augmented to have an unnatural shape and size, that is not the approach taken at Silk Touch Med Spa, Laser & Lipo Center in Boise. With a skilled injector and a conservative approach, a filler can turn back time rather than create a look that is not "you". There are also options for lip fullness that are more aggressive than dermal fillers such as lip implants or the injection of permanent silicon. Permanent implants have a higher risk of complications including infection, extrusion and deformity. Permanent silicon filler cannot be modified and will not change with time.
Juvederm, an FDA approved smooth injectable gel is a commonly used safe alternative to such invasive procedures. Juvederm is able to be modified if necessary and has given hundreds of clients a more satisfying result than expected.
