Everything You Wanted To Know About Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

Posted by Silk Touch Cosmetic Surgery on Mar 4, 2021 1:45:33 PM

Non surgical rhinoplasty, or liquid rhinoplasty, is a non surgical solution to correct defects and change the shape of the nose.

How does non surgical rhinoplasty work?

The injectors uses the tip of a needle to inject a filler into different but specific areas of the nose that can fill a depression and help to change the shape and size of the nose while hiding defects. Not everyone is candidate for this procedure - so a consultation is required. With the strategic placement of dermal fillers, the nose can be reshaped to fix unwanted bumps or a droopy tip. A crooked shape can sometimes be corrected to with filler placement.

Who is a candidate?

The best candidate for non surgical rhinoplasty has small cosmetic deformities of the nose (listed above) and is either unable or unwilling to undergo surgical measures. It is not a treatment for those wish to decrease the size of their noses.

What fillers are used for non surgical rhinoplasty?

The filler is going to depend on patient and the goals, most commonly used are Juvederm and Restylane.

What is the cost?

Cost is dependent on filler type and the amount of filler needed to correct or reshape the nose. You can expect anywhere from $550-$1600. Consultations are free of charge.

What is the downtime?

Most patients see immediate results with no downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately.  It is common to experience some redness, pin prick marks, minor bruising and swelling after a liquid rhinoplasty. Any swelling and bruising may be more apparent the next day and will subside within 10-14 days.

What to do to prep for your non surgical rhinoplasty treatment:

  • Avoid blood thinners 2 weeks prior
  • No alcohol 24 hours before
  • Come makeup free or plan on makeup being removed during your appointment.

Patient Testimonial:

After a rhinoplasty surgery with a premier plastic surgeon in California 10 years ago, I had to have a revision due to complications of tissue atrophy on the bridge of my nose. A second surgery a year later helped but didn’t completely solve the problem, so I just lived with a noticeable dent on the bridge of my nose. A few months ago, I happened across a Before/After photo on Silk Touch Med Spa’s website of a nose job revision using liquid fillers. I hadn’t even known that was possible!

At a single appointment and at a fraction of the cost, Dr. Kerr used Voluma (one of a few fillers available for this procedure, but the best option for me) to sculpt the deficit on the bridge of my nose. I could not be any happier with my results; it’s perfect. Thank you Dr. Kerr and staff! I only wish I had known about this years ago!

About The Treatment:

Traditional Rhinoplasty can be quite expensive. On top of that, it might involve numerous revisions and it requires a long recovery period – during which your face is screaming to the world “I just had a nose job!!!”

Dermal fillers have changed the cosmetic surgery playing field.  Often you can correct a nose for less in no time by just injecting temporary fillers. If you want something more permanent, Artefill is the only long lasting filler-- lasting 5 years or more.   Forget the anesthesia, the packing and the sutures – instead the only tools needed are a syringe and dermal fillers. A lot less gruesome than anything you see on Nip-Tuck.

10-minute Nose Job! Non-surgical rhinoplasty!

Guess who's had a nose job?

Walk down the streets of any big city and I bet you will encounter over 100 people who have had a nose job. It is one of the most common changes people make to their face when getting plastic surgery.

While the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports a drop in rhinoplasty procedures, there has been an increase in alternative rhinoplasty treatments.

Traditional Rhinoplasty can be quite expensive. On top of that, it might involve numerous revisions and it requires a long recovery period – during which your face is screaming to the world “I just had a nose job!!!”

Dermal fillers have changed the cosmetic surgery playing field.  Often you can correct a nose for less in no time by just injecting a favorite filler like Radiesse or Juvederm.  Some doctors prefer using a Fat Transfer using your own fat.  If you want something more permanent, Artefill is the only long lasting filler-- lasting 5 years or more.   Forget the anesthesia, the packing and the sutures – instead the only tools needed are a syringe and dermal fillers. A lot less gruesome than anything you see on Nip-Tuck.

The only downside to non-surgical rhinoplasty is that unlike a traditional nose job, the results are not permanent for life. Although with long lasting fillers like Artefill, your results can last indefinitely as the microspheres in Artefill do not break down. By injecting fillers into the nose, we can fill small depressions and even out bumps and humps. It is a great procedure for correcting nasal deformities and for adding height to make a bump less noticeable.

Dr. Kerr &  nurse injector Rachel are very experienced Artefill Trainers.  Rachel often travels to other medical offices teaching other doctors and nurses the injection techniques used at Silk Touch Med Spa in Boise.  Their recent move to their new facility on Eagle Road allows them the room and ability to have other physicians and nurse injectors travel to Silk Touch for training.

Artefill Before and After Photos - Non-surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty (nose job) can be done with the following fillers or Fat Transfer- juvederm, radiesse and artefill.

What do you think about this alternative to the traditional nose job? I think anytime you can avoid an expensive surgery it's a good thing. Especially when the problem you have with your nose is minimal and can be fixed with a simple injection.

Artefill may also be used for the face to correct tear troughs, acne scarring and to volumize the face. artefill before and after photos, tear trough and nose rhinoplasty
