While lips do thin as we age, sometimes people naturally have thin or un-proportioned lips. This patient came to us wanting a fuller pout, and wanted to [increase the volume in her upper lip](http://www.silktouchmedspa.com/juvederm-boise-eagle-idaho/). When it comes to getting the most natural enhancement, lip injections using hyaluronic fillers like Juvederm, is still the best choice.  [Juvederm](http://www.silktouchmedspa.com/juvederm-boise-eagle-idaho/) and Restylane are both soft fillers, and when injected by an expert, do not leave any nodules or bumps.  Technique and skill of the injector is also an important factor in getting natural looking results. Laser treatments, derma fillers (injectables) and permanent implants are three non-surgical procedures that can help you achieve your desired appearance.  Which one is right for you? It depends on your desired results. [Pelleve ](http://www.silktouchmedspa.com/pelleve-skin-tightening-boise-eagle-idaho/)treatments can be used to tighten the skin around the lips for a reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. In addition, the contraction of the skin can also help reveal more of the red part of the lips. Our patients often love to get the treatment before a big event because the plumping can cause a temporary smoothness of the skin. The results are much more subtle and don’t have the immediate wow factor that injectables have.
